Dr. Joy Maru began practicing dentistry in Surrey, British Columbia after completing his academic training at Northwestern University. He is currently practicing at DGCC in Surrey, BC.
Dr. Maru is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, as well as a board member of the Vancouver and Dental District Society (VDDS). In addition, Dr. Maru is a part-time instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. He has also served as a mentor for graduating students in the past.
Dr. Maru is a fervent advocate for dental implants as a long-term solution for missing teeth. As such, he has performed many dental implant procedures and has improved the quality of life for hundreds of patients from all over the lower mainland including Langley, Abbotsford, Vancouver, Richmond, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and from other provinces such as Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. He’s also treated patients from Washington State, Germany, England, and France.
Apart from his professional interests, Joy is also an avid golfer and road cyclist.
